Job summary

McCormick Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support the veterinary team in a busy Nashville clinic. You will restrain pets, triage patients, assist in exam rooms, collect and analyze lab samples, perform diagnostic imaging, and assist with medical and hospitalized cases.

The role also involves administering medications, communicating treatment plans to clients, and assisting with surgical preparation and anesthesia management. A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker and strong communicator.

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint and triage of incoming patients.
• Assist in exam rooms and collection/analysis of lab samples.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and manage medical/hospitalized cases.
• Administer medications and communicate treatment plans to clients.
• Assist with surgical preparation and anesthesia management.
