Small Door is seeking a veterinary assistant to join our team of pet care professionals. You will support veterinarians in emergencies, assess patients, record vitals, and assist with diagnostics and treatments in a modern, stress-free environment.

We value teamwork, compassionate care, and a strong work ethic. You must be comfortable with computers, able to lift 50 lbs, and available for weekend shifts at our Burlington-area location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturdays).
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Thoughtful and fearless team player.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled at communicating with clients.
• Passionate about pets.

Responsibilities

• Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Assessing patients and recording vitals.
• Assist doctors with diagnostics and treatments.
• Prepare medications and perform in-house labs.
• Assist in radiography and prepare samples for reference labs.
• Provide compassionate care and monitor patient changes.
• Support tele-triage shifts (additional stipend).
• Maintain a hospitable environment.
