East Beach Veterinary Care in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team. You will assist the medical staff with hands-on patient care, wellness exams, diagnostics, and routine procedures, ensuring every animal is treated with kindness and respect.

You will support the client experience by helping with scheduling and communications, maintain a safe, clean hospital, and coordinate with veterinarians and technicians for a smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Calm, efficient approach to a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fundamental veterinary skills across laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology are a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care: assist the medical team with hands-on care with compassion and respect.
• Be the go-to support for the medical team, anticipating needs to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Create a positive client experience by assisting with scheduling, payments, and communications.
