District Veterinary Hospital – Navy Yard in Washington, DC is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join a AAHA-accredited, four-doctor practice focused on delivering high-quality small animal care and client connections. This full-time role offers three 10-hour shifts weekly with every other Saturday and a competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

Proficiency with IV catheter placement.
Proficient with venipuncture and animal restraint.
Familiar with medical terminology.
Knowledge of core and lifestyle vaccine protocols.

Responsibilities

Provide essential patient care and assist the medical team.
Be the go-to support for the medical team to ensure smooth workflow.
Create a positive client experience through scheduling, payments, and communication.
Maintain a safe and clean hospital environment.
