Mission Pet Health in Texas is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support the medical team with hands-on patient care and compassionate animal handling. You will assist with scheduling, payments, and client communications, while helping maintain a clean, safe hospital environment and equipment.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced environments.
• Confidence handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills including lab, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide Essential Patient Care: assist medical team with hands-on care and compassionate animal handling.
• Be the Go-To Support for the Medical Team: anticipate veterinarians' and technicians' needs to ensure smooth workflow.
• Create a Positive Client Experience: assist with scheduling, payments, and communications in a courteous, informative manner.
• Ensure a Safe and Clean Environment: maintain the hospital, perform upkeep and equipment maintenance.
