Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team. You will support veterinarians and technicians, help ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality veterinary care.

You’ll work within NAVTA guidelines, participate in client education on preventive care, and mentor other staff while upholding our Five Principles of quality, responsibility, mutuality, efficiency and freedom.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program certificate or equivalent required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant tasks to support efficient practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians and maintain safety of pets, clients and staff.
• Help maintain patient flow and communicate with the team.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
