Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant who supports veterinarians and technicians to ensure safe, high-quality care for pets. You’ll help maintain workflow, assist during procedures, and help keep exam rooms and labs clean and organized.

Educating clients about preventive care and wellness plans is a key part of the role, and you’ll collaborate with a team to deliver compassionate service. NAVTA-certified training is preferred, with a high school diploma as a plus.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved program certificate or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain patient flow and assist veterinarians and technicians.
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs to support care.
• Set up or carry out procedures that do not require direct vet or tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and areas clean.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
