Job summary

West Side Animal Clinic in Hamilton, OH is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

This versatile role offers a full-time schedule (Mon–Fri, 4-10s, no weekends) with a pay range of $15–$18 per hour. You will assist with exams, treatments, dentistry, and outpatient procedures while maintaining patient records and client communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant role.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Experience collecting patient histories and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and dentistry.
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Build positive client relationships through education and service.
• Keep exam rooms and spaces clean, organized and ready.
