Loving Family Animal Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

This full-time role offers a 4/10 schedule, Monday–Friday with one rotating Saturday per month. You will assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures while maintaining accurate records and providing compassionate client service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant is required.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and stress-free restraint for diverse species.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures.
• Experience with surgery setup and client communication.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Compassionate and professional communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
• Providing safe, gentle patient handling and stress-free restraint during outpatient and procedural care
• Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
