Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Vancouver, WA seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring patient well-being and client education while upholding the highest care standards.

You will assist in surgery, dentistry, labs, and patient restraint, manage charting and reception duties, and educate clients about Wellness Plans. The role is onsite with shifting hours and a strong team-focused culture at WellHaven.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.
• Completion of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians in clinical tasks.
• Maintain thorough medical charting and client communication.
• Assist with reception duties: calls, scheduling, intake, discharge.
• Educate clients about Wellness Plans and pet care.
