Tiger Tails Animal Hospital in Duluth, GA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for clients and patients across hospital care.

This is a versatile role with responsibilities in exam and outpatient workflows, surgery, dentistry, and routine procedures, requiring dependable, motivated candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will assist veterinarians, maintain clean treatment spaces, and support client communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes.
• Ability to obtain patient histories, collect weights and vital signs, maintain accurate medical records, and follow established protocols.
• Strong client communication and education skills with a compassionate, professional approach to patient care and customer service.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills in a fast-paced team environment.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and safely restrain patients. Korean-speaking skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
• Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
• Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
• Maintaining clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
