Job summary

All Animal Hospital of Orange Park is a full-service veterinary clinic in Orange Park, FL, providing compassionate care since 1980. We seek a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians with anesthesia, exams, labs, nursing care, and client education in a busy hospital environment.

Schedule: full-time with weekend rotation. Compensation: $18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on skill and experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), CE funds, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience as Veterinary Assistant or CVT.
• Ability to assist with anesthesia monitoring and recovery.
• Strong client communication and education skills.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Collecting patient histories and assisting with physical exams.
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Laboratory sample collection and processing.
• IV, IM, and Subcutaneous medication administration.
• Client education and counseling.
• Working collaboratively with veterinarians and all hospital departments.
• Providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to all patients.

Veterinary Assistant Duties
