Job summary

VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. We offer a full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends and competitive pay, plus VTNE preparation cost coverage and VTNE registration reimbursement.

The successful candidate will perform venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, exams and patient care, surgical prep, dentistry, lab work, pharmacy duties and compassionate care for

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician preferred.
• Ability to perform routine vet tech procedures with accuracy.
• Comfort with oncology/rehabilitative settings and hospital care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures and anesthesia monitoring.
• Prepare surgical areas and assist during surgeries.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placements, radiographs and lab work.

Full-time, 4x10-hour shifts per week. Rotating weekends required.
