Job summary

VCA Deer Creek Animal Hospital in Littleton, CO is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our one-of-a-kind, multi-doctor hybrid hospital. You will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients, and help deliver outstanding care.

• Experience assisting in animal examinations and routine procedures.
• Ability to take accurate medical histories and vitals.
• Familiarity with basic lab work and radiography helpful.

Responsibilities

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting doctors and technicians as needed.
