Job summary

Bellevue Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team, supporting exceptional client and patient care across all hospital areas.

This full-time position offers a 4/10 schedule with Monday–Saturday availability, rotating Saturdays. Compensation ranges from $21 to $26 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, disability, 401k matching, PTO, uniform allowance, and pet discounts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a veterinary assistant or related role preferred.
• Safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Experience collecting patient histories and vital signs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; professional communication.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and restrain patients safely.
• Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.
• Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care.
• Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Maintaining clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces.
