Job description

The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is hiring full-time Veterinary Assistants to join our outstanding teams!

Compensation: $19-21/hr based on experience and skill level, with shift differentials offered.

Department: Current openings include:

• Emergency
• Surgery
• Neurology

Schedule: Current openings include:

• First shift: 8am-6pm
• Swing Shift: 4pm – 2am
• Overnight: 10pm-8am

CVRC located in beautiful Charleston, SC is the ONLY VECCS Level 1 certified facility in South Carolina, and 1 of only 2 in the southeast region of the United States!

We currently have a 16,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility with plans to grow in the new year. Our emergency center is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to always support our community!

Specialty services offered at CVRC include cardiology, internal medicine, neurology & neurosurgery, medical oncology (radiation oncology coming soon!), rehabilitation, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery. Our hospital houses an MRT, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiographs for diagnostic imaging.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year working in veterinary medicine, either in general practice or Emergency/Critical Care, is required.
• An understanding of basic veterinary knowledge
• Veterinary restraint experience
• Attention to detail
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
