## Veterinary Assistant - Cornelius Veterinary ClinicApply: Cornelius, OR: Part time: Posted Today: JR109310### **Cornelius Veterinary Clinic** is seeking an **Experienced Part-Time Veterinary Assistant** to join our small-animal team. We primarily care for dogs and cats, with occasional care for rabbits, ferrets, and other small mammals. **What You’ll Do:*** Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and patient care* Restrain and safely handle patients* Obtain and record patient vital signs* Assist with laboratory testing, radiographs, and basic procedures* Prepare patients for surgery and assist with surgical monitoring and recovery* Provide nursing care, including feeding, cleaning, medicating, and monitoring hospitalized patients* Assist with client communication, patient check-in/check-out, and medication instructions* Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces* Follow OSHA, safety, sanitation, and patient-care protocols **What We’re Looking For:*** High school diploma or equivalent, or currently pursuing one* Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required* Strong animal-handling and communication skills* Ability to work effectively as part of a team* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance as needed* Professional, compassionate, and dependable approach to patient and client care If you enjoy working with animals and want to be part of a team providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care, we’d love to hear from you!At AmeriVet, we’re committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
