Job summary

Baxter Veterinary Clinic in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join a six-veterinarian team that delivers progressive medical and surgical care in a warm, family-oriented hospital.

You will assist the medical staff with hands-on patient care, support scheduling and client communications, and help maintain a safe, clean facility while you grow your clinical skills in an AAHA-accredited practice.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide Essential Patient Care: assist the medical team with hands-on care and compassionate handling of all animals.
• Be the Go-To Support for the Medical Team: anticipate needs to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.
• Create a Positive Client Experience: assist with scheduling, payments, and communications in a courteous manner.
• Ensure a Safe and Clean Environment: maintain hospital cleanliness and equipment to uphold high care standards.
