Qualifications

• 1–2 years of veterinary assistant experience.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy and handling.
• Familiarity with veterinary emergencies is a plus.
• Proficiency with computers and EMR software.
• Self-motivated, team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, surgeries, treatments.
• Restrain animals safely and effectively.
• Administer medications and vaccines under supervision.
• Clean, sterilize instruments and maintain aseptic technique.
• Maintain organized work areas including kennels and rooms.
• Prepare and run basic lab tests and assist with imaging.
• Provide compassionate medical care to patients.
• Communicate with team and clients.
• Document patient information in EMR.
