The successful candidate will have 1+ year clinic experience, a high school diploma, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Medical knowledge and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of clinic experience as a veterinary assistant.
• High school diploma are required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Comfort with handling animals during medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and make pets feel welcome and comfortable.
• Assist veterinarians to provide compassionate nursing care.
• Clean, maintain, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Fill prescriptions as directed by a veterinarian and explain directions.
• Assist receptionists with check-in and checkout; provide phone support.
• Perform laboratory tests.
• Keep facilities clean and well maintained.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
