Qualifications

  • 2 years of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the environment and handle stress calmly.
  • Must be a team player with patience and a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds and stand on feet most of the day.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, their pets, vendors and other visitors to our emergency clinic.
  • Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
  • Field all phone calls and send emails.
  • Register new patients and update necessary records.
  • Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and ensure required fields are completed.
  • Process bills, invoices and patient payments in office.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
  • Ensure waiting room is quiet, calm, organized and welcoming.
  • Assist doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Obtain health history from clients and document in EMR.
  • Restock and organize medical supplies.
  • Constantly advance your knowledgebase and skill set.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, their pets, vendors, and other visitors to our emergency clinic
  • Answer patient questions, provide assistance and directions when necessary

  • Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, organized and welcoming
  • Uphold the positive reputation of our emergency clinic by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
  • Animal handling and restraint
  • Assist doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests, and procedures
  • Obtain health history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete within the electronic medical record
  • Maintain cleanliness of treatment and patient areas
  • Restock and organize medical supplies
  • Constantly advance your knowledgebase and skill set

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2 years of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), preferred
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks
  • Must have the ability to adjust to changes in the environmentand able to handle stress in a calm manner
  • Must be a team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to anticipate and be detail oriented due to the high level of quality medicine.Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.
