Job summary

Bond Vet in Chicago is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will partner with veterinarians and techs to deliver high-quality pet care and support a cohesive, efficient clinic environment.

Responsibilities include scribing during visits, assisting with procedures, restraining pets, and communicating treatment plans clearly to clients. We offer flexible schedules and a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant.
• A working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
• Typing proficiency and ability to use multiple computer systems to capture recommendations.

• Record and report on patient symptoms.
• Clean, restock and maintain clinic areas and exam rooms.

• Assist with client interactions, walk-ins, calls, scheduling and education.

What You’ll Do

• Scribe for our Veterinarians during visits

• Clearly communicate pricing estimates and treatment plans, serving as a guide through the client’s visit experience
• Assist with client interactions, walk-ins, calls, scheduling, and client education as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by your team leaders

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ year of experience working as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant
• A working knowledge of veterinary terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency
• A high proficiency for typing and utilizing multiple computer systems and capturing recommendations made during the course of a visit
