Job summary

Bond Vet is seeking an Advanced Veterinary Assistant in Chicago to join our mission of transforming veterinary care. You’ll handle routine and urgent care tasks, assist in surgery and dental procedures, and educate pet parents while growing your clinical skills in a supportive, pet-first environment.

You’ll work with veterinarians and technicians across our network, benefit from mentorship, CE events, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Proficiency in monitoring anesthesia, dental prophylaxis and radiographs preferred.
• US work authorization required to work for Bond Vet.

What You'll Do:

• Focus on patient care; with support from our veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians you’ll be able to concentrate on the patients in front of you. These will include but not be limited to:
• Patient Handling and Husbandry
• Surgical/dental and anesthesia management
• Detailed record keeping
• Medication administration
• Emergency triage and response
• Work alongside veterinarians and veterinary technicians from all corners of our industry, pushing the boundaries of veterinary medicine and providing top-quality patient care, supporting communities across your region.
• Supported by our Medical leadership team, attend monthly educational events and activities to help grow your knowledge and develop your career.
• On-staff specialists will help you navigate new cases and realms of medicine.
