PetVet Care Centers' A-Animal Clinic & Boarding Kennel in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their team. You will support veterinarians and technicians by cleaning, feeding, restraining patients, preparing surgery areas, and handling clerical tasks in a full-time role.

The ideal candidate is at least 18, has a HS diploma or GED, and experience as a surgery assistant. Schedule is Mon–Fri with long shifts; compensation ranges from $19.01–$23.23 per hour with comprehensive

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older (minimum).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a skilled surgery assistant.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations, reviewing care plans and records, and performing tests and imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications and vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist examinations and procedures by preparing supplies, restraining patients, and following veterinarian directions.
• Maintain medical records and document patient conditions and changes accurately.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status as directed by the veterinarian.
• Sterilize and maintain instruments, sanitize treatment areas, and preserve clean, humane environments.
