BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an extraordinary Cardiology Veterinary Assistant!

Pay Band: $20.30 - $30.10/Hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10 AM - 6:30 PM

As a Cardiology Veterinary Assistant, you will:

1. Assist the nursing team in providing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
2. Report patient signalment, problem list, and plan during nursing rounds.
3. Calculate basic medical math.
4. Understand classification of commonly-used medications, associated side effects, and monitor therapeutic responses.
5. Administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
6. Perform lab work.
7. Triage and obtain patient history.
8. Assist clinicians with diagnostic procedures.
9. Provide patient care including treatments.
10. Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients.
