Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred (but we’ll train the right person with great instincts and attitude)
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• A team player who communicates clearly and jumps in to help
• Stays calm, organized, and positive — even on busy days
• A genuine love for animals and the people who care for them

Responsibilities

• Support patient care from start to finish — safely restraining pets, assisting with exams, and helping keep things calm and efficient
• Assist with procedures and treatments, including preparing rooms, instruments, and patients
• Collect samples, run basic diagnostics, and help maintain accurate medical records
• Support surgery and dentistry days with patient prep, monitoring support, and recovery care
• Keep the hospital clean, organized, and running smoothly behind the scenes
• Be a friendly, reassuring presence for both pets and their people
