Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill is a full-service veterinary practice in Brooklyn actively seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The role includes assisting veterinarians during exams and surgeries, maintaining clean rooms, handling animals with care, and communicating with pet owners about treatment plans.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples.
• Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian.
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This full-time position, scheduled shifts on Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM-7:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; and Saturday, 9:30 AM-4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.
• Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
