Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Assistant with emergency experience to join our team at Animal Emergency and Surgical Center in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with emergency triage, assisting in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, patient recovery, IV catheter placement, blood draws, bloodwork, x-ray positioning, and understanding emergency procedures. A positive attitude and team spirit are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Emergency triage and patient assessment
  • Assisting in surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring
  • Patient recovery and post-operative care
  • Placing IV catheters and drawing blood
  • Running blood tests and interpreting results
  • Positioning x-rays and understanding radiographic procedures
  • Client education and support
Qualifications
  • Experience with emergency veterinary medicine
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
