Job summary

Animal Medical Center San Rafael is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and loves pets, contributing to a fun, supportive work environment.

We offer $22.00–$28.00 per hour, a $250 sign-on bonus, CE support, uniform allowance, license reimbursement, and flexible 8-hour shifts Monday–Saturday. Join our high-performing team and help provide excellent care for pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years clinical experience as a veterinary assistant or receptionist.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain accurate and thorough medical histories.
• Perform basic exam procedures.
• Skilled in venipuncture (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular).
• Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning.
• Comfortable with monitoring general anesthesia and surgical assistance preferred.
• Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); IDEXX in-house laboratory.

Animal Medical Center San Rafael is currently looking to hire an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team.

• The hourly pay range for this position starts at $22.00 - $28.00 per hour; this varies depending on experience, education, certifications, and location.

• Additional $250.00 sign-on bonus!

• Continuing Education (CE) support

• Annual Uniform allowance

• Professional License reimbursement

• Flexible scheduling - 8 hour shift length (Monday - Saturday)

Who You Are:
