VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital in Westmont, IL is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will support doctors and technicians, help manage patient flow, and ensure compassionate care for pets and their families.

The role includes handling animals, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting with exams, procedures, and patient communications in a hospital that also cares for exotic and pocket pets.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures
• Collect patient histories and support client communication
• Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized pets
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
• Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical packs
• Assist with laboratory samples and diagnostics
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and clients every day

Schedule: Full-time opp with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation

$16.00 - $20.00/hour

Pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.
