Job summary

WestVets Maxtown Veterinary Clinic in Westerville, OH is seeking a part-time Vet Assistant to join our experienced team. You will support veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure excellent care and customer service for every animal.

The role requires at least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience, the ability to handle animals safely, and familiarity with basic clinical tasks. We offer pet discounts and a 401(k) with company match. Salary ranges $15–$18 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples.
• Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian.
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits.
• Clean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.

WestVets Maxtown Veterinary Clinic is hiring a part-time Vet Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Salary: $15-$18/hr. based on experience and skill set.

Schedule:Monday- Tuesday 8AM-6PM, Wednesday- Friday 8am-5pm, every other Saturday8AM-3PM
