Job Description Summary: The veterinary assistant is a key member of the hospital team who supports and assists veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and associates, and maintaining quality veterinary care.

Preferred Education/Licenses:

• Minimum 1 year veterinary assistant experience
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience

Pay:

• Starting at $17/hour, with potential increases based on experience

A day in the life of a Banfield veterinary assistant: You will provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service, ensuring clients and pets are comfortable. Your technical skills will be used daily, following state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Helping maintain the flow of patients
• Communicating with veterinarians and vet techs
• Carrying out procedures that do not require vet or tech assistance
• Adhering to hospital standards for safety and cleanliness
• Educating clients about wellness plans and preventive care
• Mentoring team members

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $17.00 per hour

The pay range for this role is $15.19 - $19.41 hourly, depending on experience, skill, education, location, and applicable laws.
