Full-time Veterinary Assistant – Join Our Team!
Location: 5668 S. Straits Hwy, Indian River, MI 49749
Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends!)
Compensation: $17–$19/hour, commensurate with experience
Schedule: Tentative 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday)

Indian River Veterinary Clinic is a thriving, two-doctor small animal practice proudly serving dogs, cats, and the occasional exotic. We offer a wide range of services including:
Ultrasound diagnostics
Select orthopedic surgeries
Oncology care
Behavioral consultations (with a doctor passionate about this specialty)
Fear Free techniques to help reduce patient stress

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Veterinary Assistant who’s excited to learn, contribute, and grow with our team. We prefer the following skills:
Blood draws and catheter placement
Taking radiographs (x-rays)
Running exam rooms efficiently
Assisting with surgeries
Answering phones and client communication
Providing client education and support

Full-time team members will be awarded additional PTO based on their years of service.
Holiday Pay 48 hours to apply towards 6 recognized holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day)
*The holiday PTO hours can be used at the team member’s discretion to cover the actual holiday as observed by the hospital or other absences with approval from their Manager.
