Position: Veterinary Assistant

Join our growing hospital to support our skilled team, including Vet Assistants, Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, and DVMs. As part of our organization, you will have access to a peer network of over 5,000 professionals, 100% tuition reimbursement for accredited Vet Tech programs, and Learning & Development programs to advance your career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist DVMs and veterinary technicians with appointments, surgery prep, minor procedures, surgical assisting, and setup for diagnostic tests
  • Restrain animals safely, efficiently, and compassionately
  • Obtain accurate vitals, medical histories, and note changes in patient conditions
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples (fecal, urine, ear cytologies)
  • Maintain medical equipment and tools essential for daily operations
  • Communicate effectively with clients about patient updates and questions
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling
  • Strong communication skills, good judgment, ability to work under stress, and team collaboration
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
