Tenafly Veterinary Center is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. You will help ensure high-quality animal care and excellent customer service while working with a compassionate team in Tenafly, NJ.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams and procedures, restraining animals safely, preparing surgical areas, collecting samples, administering meds, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with animals in a veterinary setting.
• Knowledge of disinfection, medication administration, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to safely and compassionately handle animals.

• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples.
• Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision of a veterinarian.
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets' care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits.
• Clean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.

Tenafly Veterinary Center is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Salary

$17 - $23 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with the following schedule: Tuesday-Friday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM and Saturday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM.
