Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital has been serving the greater Tehachapi area since1986!

Our Veterinary Assistants work with our Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians to provide excellent patient care. This position offers great learning opportunities for a career working with animals.

Our hospital offers high quality, transparent care for our patients and clients. As an assistant, you'll serve as a critical bridge for patient care and client communication.

Job Duties include:

• Assist doctors and techs with all aspects of patient care and handling
• Maintain hospital standards and cleanliness
• Client communication
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and provide accurate information to staff and clients
• Demonstrates warmth, courtesy, and professionalism in all client interactions
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure
• Assess urgency and severity of cases, effectively prioritizing incoming requests based on criticality
• Ability to frequently lift, move and handle patients.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, lift, push, pull, etc..
    
• Complete diagnostic procedures as needed
