South Shreveport Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
In this role, you will also work closely with your team to manage the veterinarian’s orders, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while maintaining an efficient workflow to keep procedures on schedule. This role is ideal for detail-oriented Veterinary Assistants who excel in multitasking and want to utilize their skills fully.
This is a full-time position with scheduling needs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with 10-hour shifts and rotating/intermittent weekends.

The SSAH team strives to diagnose and treat Shreveport pets with the highest standard of medical and surgical methods. We primarily provide general wellness services, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry, and we are well-equipped with digital radiology, surgical and therapy lasers, Idexx lab equipment, ultrasound capabilities, and more. Our hospital team is comprised of two (soon-to-be three) veterinarians, tenured technicians and assistants, and a talented support staff and boarding team. Most importantly, our team is committed to providing personalized attention and taking a family-focused approach to pet care in order to best support Louisiana pets and their owners.
