Job summary

Scarborough Animal Hospital, LLC in Scarborough, ME is seeking a full‑time Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA‑accredited team. You will support doctors and technicians, participate in anesthesia and patient care, and help maintain a high standard of diagnostic and treatment capabilities in a busy small animal and urgent care setting.

We are an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free-focused general practice with multiple doctors, a diverse caseload, and a strong technician team. Our hospital provides opportunities to build your skills while working alongside experienced veterinary professionals.

What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our doctors and technician team while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist with patient restraint and handling

What You'll Bring to the Team

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
