This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Assistant role based at a VCA Animal Hospital in Sandy Springs, GA. The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and credentialed technicians in providing medical care to patients, including assisting with exams, treatments, and diagnostic procedures. Daily responsibilities may include handling and restraining pets safely, collecting samples, preparing and sanitizing exam rooms, and maintaining equipment and supplies. The role also involves supporting client communication, such as updating pet guardians on care plans, reviewing discharge instructions, and helping with appointment flow. The Veterinary Assistant works collaboratively with the hospital team to promote a safe, compassionate, and efficient environment for patients, clients, and colleagues.
