What You’ll Do
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs
  • Collect blood, urine, and other laboratory samples
  • Perform laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratories
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Take and process radiographs
  • Educate pet owners on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
