What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs
- Collect blood, urine, and other laboratory samples
- Perform laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratories
- Administer medications as directed
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Take and process radiographs
- Educate pet owners on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- 1–3 years of veterinary clinic experience preferred
- Experience monitoring anesthesia and supporting surgical procedures preferred
