Job Description: We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Veterinary Assistants. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with animals and a strong desire to contribute to their health and welfare. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering quality care. This entry-level position is suitable for those interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, procedures, and maintenance of hospital facilities.
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments.
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain kennel ward, bathing room, hallways, and front lobby.
• Perform routine cleaning of indoor and outdoor spaces.
• Provide post-operative care and monitoring to patients.
• Walk client dogs.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with animals in a veterinary or animal care setting is a plus.
• High School Diploma/GED is a plus.
• Willingness to learn medication administration and recognize abnormal conditions.
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment efficiently; perform moderate physical labor.
• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods and equipment care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
