Job summary

Companion Animal Wellness Center in Poulsbo, WA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant for a full-time, in-person role.

The clinic operates Monday–Thursday 8am–6pm, offering medical/dental benefits, generous PTO, family pet discounts (up to 3 pets), uniform and CE allowances, and a supportive team in a two-DVM practice.

Companion Animal Wellness Center in Poulsbo is looking for an experienced individual to fill a full time Veterinary Assistant position.

As a small clinic, all our staff are an important piece of the puzzle.

Duties of the Veterinary Assistant position include:

• Checking in, scribing, and facilitating appointments.
• Restraining patients.
• Taking dictation.
• Communicating with clients regarding care plans for patients.
• Filling prescription requests across various online platforms.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Setting up surgery.
• Coordinating with treatment and front staff to ensure a smooth flow.

Our clinic is open Monday through Thursday 8 am to 6 pm; no late nights or weekends.
