Job description

VCA Animal Medical Center of Pasadena is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, Rotating Weekends, 1 weekday off if working Saturday 8am-12pm

Pay Range: $17 - $22 (depending on experience)

Your Responsibilities:

• Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress environment for clients and patients
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments
• Monitor anesthesia
• Assist in surgical procedures and preparation
• Perform dental procedures
• Conduct radiology and laboratory work
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Manage pharmacy tasks
• Support patient recovery and provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals
