Who we are:

Park Heights Animal Care Center is seeking a veterinary assistant. We are a 3-doctor practice located just outside The Villages in Fruitland Park, Florida. We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, dedicated individual who can confidently perform the following tasks:

  • Assisting with Procedures: Restraining animals for examinations, assisting with surgeries, and collecting samples for lab testing.
  • Medication and Treatment: Administering prescribed medications and immunizations, and monitoring animals during and after treatments.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of animal health, medications, and procedures.
  • Cleaning and Sterilization: Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and examination rooms, as well as sterilizing instruments and equipment.
  • Patient Monitoring: Observing animal behavior, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes to the veterinarian or veterinary technician.
  • Education and Client Relations: Providing pet owners with information on animal care, vaccinations, and preventative care.
