Lakeview Pet Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team. The role includes rooming patients, assisting in surgery and anesthesia monitoring, and ensuring high standards of patient care.

Ideal candidates are skilled with IV catheters, blood draws, in-house lab work, x-ray, and client education. A positive, supportive team player who is eager to learn will fit well in our family-run practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years veterinary experience

• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist in surgery
• Monitor anesthesia and surgical recovery
• Place IV catheters and draw blood
• Run in‑clinic bloodwork and manage x‑ray positioning
• Educate clients about pet care and treatment plans
• Collaborate with team to ensure high standards of care

Our clinic utilizes modern technology to practice the best medicine including IDEXX digital x-ray, ultrasound, IDEXX in-house labs, dental x-ray, interactive exam room technology, and much more. Requirements:

• Veterinary experience, 2+ years

The ideal candidate should be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, surgical recovery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, has knowledge of in-clinic laboratory equipment, understand the importance of client education, comfortable with proper animal handling and restraint, is a positive and supportive team player.
