Job summary

VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital in West Chester Township, OH is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for a full-time role. You will join a 6-doctor team that cares for dogs and cats and build a positive, low-stress experience for clients and patients.

Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians, taking histories, restraining animals, preparing rooms, radiographs, labs, and maintaining records. A HS diploma and prior vet experience are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary setting.
• Passion for animals and desire to learn and grow in the veterinary field.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation:

The starting range is $ 15 - 18/hr and is determined by skill set, and years of experience in the field.

What You'll Do:

At VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital, you’ll join a 6-doctor team that focuses on caring for dogs and cats, with a strong reputation for compassionate medicine and long-standing client relationships.

As a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Lakota Hills, you will support the team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures
