Veterinary Assistants provide supportive services under the direction of a senior veterinarian. This includes but is not limited to administering oral or topical medications, as allowed by NY state law; setting up equipment for treatment rooms and surgery, restraining animals, lab work, assisting in radiology cleaning of isolation rooms; interacting with the fosters and adopters.
This is a 32 hour (4 days per week) full-time position with a salary range of $20/hr to $22/hr.
