Job description

Old Dominion Animal Health Center is a busy, 5-doctor small animal general practice in McLean, VA, and we are looking for veterinary nurses and assistants to join our team. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm, and Saturdays 8 am to 4 pm. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities include all aspects of patient care, such as:

• Assisting with surgery prep and recovery
• Radiology
• Blood draws
• Cytology
• Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by the doctors
• Client communication

Physical Effort: The work requires lifting and carrying animals up to 40 pounds (assisted by staff for heavier animals), bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, walking/standing for extended periods, often in a bent position.
