Job summary

Copper Basin Animal Hospital is seeking a veterinary assistant to join a collaborative team. You will assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgeries while handling animals safely and maintaining patient records.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential as you educate clients on pet care and uphold a clean work environment. Preference is given to candidates with CVT/RVT/LVT certification or licensure eligibility; AVMA-accredited program degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVT certification preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Experience as veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Degree from AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
