Big Springs Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and staff in a fast-paced animal hospital. You will assist during exams, restrain animals when needed, stock rooms, sterilize tools, and keep the hospital organized.

The role requires strong communication with clients, dependability, and the ability to multi-task in a team environment. On-site presence is essential, with flexible hours including holidays and weekends.

Description

Our hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians and team support staff in the care and medical treatment of animals. The Assistant helps during examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order, and maintaining the hospital. Veterinary Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.

Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Our next team member will be an energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Holiday and weekend availability is required.
